Kitchen resurfacing is the process of refinishing or repairing the surfaces of your kitchen cabinets, countertops, and appliances to give them a fresh and updated look without the hefty price tag of a full remodel.
Yes, bathroom resurfacing is a cost-effective way to update the look of your bathroom without the expense of a full renovation. By refinishing or repairing your existing fixtures and surfaces, you can achieve a new look for a fraction of the cost.
The timeline for resurfacing can vary depending on the size of the project and the extent of work needed. Typically, a kitchen resurfacing project can be completed in a matter of 2 to 5 days, while bathroom resurfacing will take between 1-3 days.
Yes, we are using specialty paint coating finishes so resurfacing will smell to an extent. To counter that we use low pressure spray systems and extraction systems. The smell does not stick around long after spraying is finished.
That will vary from job to job, but generally we will set up a temporary spray booth in your garage and spray all doors and draws in there. If no garage is available, we can spray all doors and draws hanging in situ, this process will just limit your colour choice to a shade of white or lighter shade. All fixed panels, benchtops, wall tiles, baths and vanity units will be sprayed onsite in situ using zipwalls and drop sheets to protect the surrounding areas. An extractor fan will take care of a lot of the airborne overspray.
We generally recommend soapy water or multipurpose surface cleaners like Spray’n’Wipe as they work a treat on resurfaced areas and will also help increase longevity of the surface.
Don’t use heavy solvents, degreasers, bleaches or acids as this will stain or can possibly soften the paint, don’t use scoring pads, abrasives, caustic or sandy cleaners as they can scratch or wear away the surface.
No, after sufficient curing time the coatings from resurfacing will dry hard and will be quite difficult to chip. But it is still paint so a duty of care must be taken.
With bathroom resurfacing, you will not get mould in any of the painted surfaces including tiles and grout lines. You may still get mould in any silicone that is applied but it can always be cut out and replaced.
No we don’t resurface floors, because they are very heavily trafficked and are subject to a lot of wear and tear. We can however provide a tile over service, where well have a licensed tiler tile straight over the top of the existing floor.
